Product Features
HoverHeat’s proprietary internal components provide a cushion of heated air to warm the underbody - something not previously possible with forced-air warming!
Two HoverHeat units can be connected in series with the HoverHeat connector, to provide under AND over-body warming with one warm air blower.
- Increases the warming capacity of your warm air blower by 50 to 75 percent.
- The largest surface area of the body can now be warmed.
- Directs airflow away from the surgical field.
- No more disposable air warming blankets needed.
- Small, Medium, and Large sizes to accommodate any animal and any procedure.
How does it work?
- Levitates the patient by its proprietary internal components
- Low resistance warm airflow underneath the patient
- Dynamic surface patient cushioning

Instructions
Step 1
Make certain that your warm air blower hose fits the HoverHeat black air inlet. If your hose does not fit, use the HoverHeat Adaptor which will accommodate any hose diameter. (HoverHeat Adaptor sold separately)
Step 2
Insert your warm air blower hose into one of the two (2) black air tubes. The black air tube chosen to insert your blower hose will be the air inlet. The other black air tube will be the air outlet. Both black tubes are the same diameter.
Step 3
Before placing the HoverHeat on the supporting surface, place an insulative layer of at least two (2) towels or a ConRad Thermal Blanket patient side up, between the HoverHeat and the underlying surface. This prevents conductive heat loss to the underlying surface.
Step 4
Place the HoverHeat on the supporting surface with the air inlet of the HoverHeat in the direction that is most clinically convenient. Place the patient on the HoverHeat in the longitudinal direction that is most clinically convenient.
Step 5
A towel may be placed between the patient and the HoverHeat if body fluid loss is anticipated. Keep any exposed surface of the HoverHeat covered with a towel to prevent heat loss to the environment.
Step 6 (optional)
If under body and over body warming is desired, insert one end of the HoverHeat Connector hose to the air outlet of one HoverHeat unit and insert the other end of the HoverHeat Connector hose into the air inlet of another Hoverheat unit. Arrange the under body and over body HoverHeat units in a fashion that provides the most effective warming.
Step 7
Monitor the temperature of your warm air blower to prevent patient overheating and continuously monitor the temperature of your patient.
*Any warm air blower can be used for the HoverHeat system.
FAQ
How is HoverHeat different from other air warming systems?
The HoverHeat is the only air warming system that provides true underbody warming. The HoverHeat can warm the entire underbody surface of the animal. It does so by levitating the animal, allowing for low resistance warm airflow under the animal and providing a comfortable tissue-friendly warming surface.
Can I warm both sides of the animal with one warm air blower?
Yes. The HoverHeat units can be connected in series with the HoverHeat Connector to provide under body as well as over body warming with one warm air blower simultaneously. This increases the warming capacity of your current warm air blower by 50 to 75 percent.
Do I need to buy another warm air blower to use HoverHeat?
No. You do not need to buy another warm air blower, The inlet of the HoverHeat will accommodate the majority of warm air blowers. The HoverHeat adaptor makes it possible to accommodate any warm air blower on the market.
Are the HoverHeat units disposable?
No. The HoverHeat units are not disposable. This brings an end to the need for the perpetual purchasing of disposable warming blankets.
How are the HoverHeat warmers cleaned?
The HoverHeat warmers are cleaned with soap and water or the same germicidal spray you use to clean your OR table
