Patient positioning in MRI is crucial in obtaining precise imaging, maintaining patient comfort and preventing body heat loss in veterinary patients. Because MRI scans can be lengthy, veterinary patients are anesthetized which exacerbates hypothermia. An MRI Safe positioner with a tissue friendly surface and providing body heat retention is imperative. MRI Patient Warming

MRI scanning for veterinary patients is particularly problematic since the procedures are lengthy, require anesthesia and up to now, no MRI Safe patient warming modalities.
